Membership Information
Becoming part of the Master Painters & Decorators Australia [MP&DA] will help strengthen the industry and allow us to:
- Resist calls for industry deregulation
- Address skills shortages & attract young people to the trade
- Push for greater policing of unregistered painters
- Promote qualifications to become a registered painter & decorator
Consumer education continues with MP&DA's ongoing "Don’t Risk it - Use a Master Painter & Decorator" campaign.
Directed at the consumer, builder, local government and industry stakeholders, this campaign will ensure people think twice about who they engage to provide painting services and assist in cleaning up our industry.
To become a member of the MP&DA, you must hold a current Painting Contractor's Registration issued by the Building and Energy and either yourself or an employee must hold a current Painting Practitioner Registration also issued by Building and Energy of Western Australia.
MP&DA also require their members to have current Public Liability Insurance in place, a copy of your Policy is required to be provided at time of application and renewal as per the membership registration process.
