APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR Competition Details

Competition details

Once entered the Apprentice of the Year competition consists of three stages.

STAGE ONE:

Theory assessment:

All entrants undertake a theory assessment based on Apprenticeship modules undertaken in the 1st - 3rd Year of the Painting & Decorating Apprenticeship. We encourage 2nd-4th year Apprentices to enter the competition. 1st year's may enter for experience and for preparation for the following years.

The top 10 successful entrants go through to the second stage.

STAGE TWO:

A practical skills competition conducted over 1 full day, where entrants are given a project to demonstrate their skills and ability. Full details of the project and competition requirements are distributed to the entrants 2 weeks prior to competition day.

When: Friday September 10th 2021

Where: MP&DA Maylands Campus

Time: Details provided in competition pack.

STAGE THREE:

Apprentice of the Year Awards Night. The 10 finalists attend the presentation night for the announcement of the winner and subsequent places of the Apprentice of the Year competition.

When: Friday 29th October 2021

Where: Burswood on the Swan

Time: TBA

Invitations will be forwarded prior to the event. All finalists are given two tickets for the event, one for themselves and a partner, friend or family member.
